AAMI Golden Slipper - 2007

The AAMI Golden Slipper will run at the Sydney Turf Club on the 31 March 2007. The event first ran in 1957 and now is a showpiece event for the Sydney Turf Club as the world’s richest event for 2 year old thoroughbreds with a prize of $3.5million.

In 2006 Miss Finland won the Golden Slipper and over the years the Hayes, Waterhouse and Freedman stables have performed well at the prestigious event.

This year’s favourites include Danehill from the Cummings stable and Shaft from the Hawkes stable. Shaft recently stormed home on debut to win the Silver Slipper at Rosehill.
