This Saturday’s 9 event meeting at Flemington racecourse is known as Super Saturday and features three Group 1 events. These are the Newmarket Handicap, the Crown Australian Guineas and the Australian Cup. The Group 1 $1,000,000 Newmarket Handicap is an open handicap over1200 metres down the straight-six course.
2010 Newmarket Handicap Betting
There are 19 horses in the Newmarket and the early favourite at SportsBet is All Silent at $5.50. Next in the market is Starspangledbanner at $7, Eagle Falls at $9, Nicconi at $10, King Pulse at $14, Gran Sasso at $15 then Arinos, Wanted, Tollesprit and Trusting all at $17. They are followed by Headway at $18, El Segundo and Turffontein at $19 with the remaining six runners at $20 to 1 or longer.
