The Golden Slipper festival starts at Rosehill racecourse on Saturday with nine quality races including two Group 1s, four Group 2 and two Listed races. The main race is the Group 1 $600,000 Coolmore Classic for 3 year-old and upwards fillies and mares over 1500 metres. There are 18 acceptances with two from the Bart Cummings stable and another two from son Anthony Cummings.
Typhoon Tracy Not Running in 2010 Coolmore Classic
Typhoon Tracy was a nomination for the race and would have been a clear favourite. She was given a weight of 61kg and trainer Peter Moody chose not to accept for this race but decided to save the four-year-old mare for the weight-for-age Group 1 George Ryder Stakes in two weeks time on Golden Slipper day. Moody still has a runner in the Coolmore Classic though with three-year-old filly Set For Fame who will carry 52.5kg.
