The Group 1 $1,000,000 Blue Diamond Stakes is a two-year old race at set weights over 1200 metres held at Caulfield racecourse. It is the seventh race in a nine event program with several quality supporting races.
There was a full field of sixteen starters but the colt Tricky Tricky, trained by Leon Corstens, has already been scratched with an elevated white cell count. This leaves jockey Michael Rodd without a ride in the event.
