The Group 1 Golden Slipper is the richest two-year old race in the world and in 2010 the prizemoney is at least $3,500,000. It will be run over 1200 metres at Rosehill Gardens racecourse on Easter Saturday 3 April 2010. When yearling nominations closed on 7 July 2009 there were 1795 nominations. Following second acceptances on 2 February 2010 there are 246 horses remaining with quite a few of these appearing to not have official race names yet.

Prizemoney Order of Entry for Golden Slipper
Prizemoney is used to determine the final Golden Slipper field and currently Star Witness has the most prizemoney with over $700,000. Next is Shaaheq with $234,000, Military Rose with $192,000, Beneteau with $191,750 and Psychologist with $100,750. The filly Chance Bye has earned over $300,000 in prizemoney with her two wins in races that were restricted to horses sold at William Inglis sales. Unfortunately the prizemoney from those races can not be counted so she has still got to qualify for the Slipper.
