The Group 1 Bisley Workwear Chipping Norton Stakes over 1600 metres at Randwick has attracted a strong field of 11 acceptors.
Past winners of the Chipping Norton reads like a role call of Australian champions –Phar Lap in 1930, Tulloch in 1958 and 1960, Rain Lover in 1969, Emancipation in 1984, Our Waverley Star in 1987, Super Impose in 1991 and 1992, Octagonal in 1997, Tie The Knot in 1999, 2001 and 2002, Lonhro in 2003, Grand Armee in 2005 and last years winner was He’s No Pie Eater. Whoever wins on saturday can be expected to go on to great things.
The race is expected to be a clash between Racing to Win, Tuesday Joy, and Honor In War. Darren Beadman is returning from Hong Kong to ride Honor In War, and Racing To Win is planning to travel to Hong Kong for the Champions Mile on April 27 providing he performs well on Saturday.
