2010 World Cup Quarter Finals – July 2nd & 3rd

Six of the eight teams to go through to the quarter final in the 2010 World Cup have already been decided and they are Uruguay, Ghana, Netherlands/Holland, Brazil, Argentina and Germany. The other two are yet to be decided but will come from matches held at 4pm and 8.30pm on 29 June South Africa time which is the early hours of Wednesday morning Australian EST at midnight and 4.30am.

The Last Two Games Before the Quarter Final

The final two teams in the quarter final will come from the Paraguay vs Japan match and the Spain vs Portugal match. The Paraguay vs Japan match will be played first and neither side has ever made it to the quarter finals before so whichever team wins they will be making history. Centrebet has Paraguay as favourite to win at $2.02 with Japan at $3.70 and $3.20 for the draw. Spain are the current European champions and are $2 favourites against Portugal in their match.

• - 8.30pm 3 July Paraguay or Japan play Spain or Portugal (4.30am 4 July AEST)

Betting on the 2010 World Cup Quarter Finals

Centrebet has Brazil as $2.05 favourite against Holland $3.55 with $3.20 for the draw. Brazil have played in the World Cup more than twice as many times as Holland and have won it a record 5 times.

Uruguay are $2.05 favourites against Ghana ($3.70) with $3.10 for the draw. Uruguay have 10 World Cup appearances while Ghana has only one, and Ghana’s lack of experience showed when they were not able to take advantage of Australia being a man down for most of their game against them.
