The Group 2 $150,000 Inglis Villiers Stakes over 1600 metres is the feature summer mile at Randwick Racecourse and there are 14 runners. The early market has Rabbuka as early favourite at $4. Next in the betting are Rockwood and Offenders both at $6.50, Palacio De Cristal and Parfumier both at $8.50, Spinney at $9, Lyncean Academy at $10 and Our Lukas at $14.
Rabbuka won first-up at Rosehill over 1500 metres 2 weeks ago and can win again if he can repeat that form. Rockwood came last in the same race, but that run should be forgotten as he was pole-axed in an incident that saw 2 jockeys suspended. He has run well in a barrier trail since then. Tagus ($41) won at long odds last start, finishing fast in a 1500m race and can earn prizemoney here if he runs in a similar fashion.
