The David Jones AJC Australian Derby is renowed as the top ranked racing event for 3-year-olds in Australia and New Zealand. The event held at the start of Easter marks the beginning of the 2007 Tooheys New Easter Carnival. Last year the winner of the Group 1 race was Headturner. The 2007 David Jones Australian Derby will be held on the 7th April at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. The feature race will be run over a distance of 2400m and attract a prize of $2million.
