With the long held rivalry between
the Ford and Holden racing cars, this is definitely one of the most popular
forms of motorsport in Australia. With all of the teams and cars only
a few seconds apart on lap times it makes for some amazingly close and
exciting racing.
Races are held throughout
Australia, New Zealand and this year also featuring a race in China which
is now making this a truly international affair. Each year the drivers
and teams aim to bring home the drivers and constructors championship,
however there is one race which some see as more important, the famous
Bathurst 1000.
